The island nation of Hawaii is a tropical paradise located in the South Pacific, over 2,000 miles away from the California coast line. Hawaii is the fiftieth state in the US, it was the last state to join be added to the United States in 1959. There are 8 major Hawaiian islands and although the term Hawaii is used to describe all of these islands together, the "Big Island" is officially named Hawaii as well. Hawaiians enjoy some of the most beautiful views and amazing weather on the planet-- although there really are no seasons in Hawaii, the hot and dry season usually takes place from about April through September while the rainy season lasts from October through March. Regardless, even a rainy day in Hawaii is better than a dry day in a lot of places! While you study English courses in Hawaii you'll have plenty to do, see, eat, and enjoy: from hikes through Volcano National Park, to amazing black sand beaches, to snorkeling through coral reefs, to enjoying some of the freshest seafood you'll ever experience there's something for everyone when they go to an English school in Hawaii.
