The General 20 course focuses on language fluency as a main goal. The four major skills students will practice are reading, writing, speaking and listening.

General English (20 lessons per week) will give you a practical understanding of the English language and take you all the way to fluency. See your confidence improve as we train you in all four communication skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing.

One-to-One tuition is the ultimate course for making maximum progress during a short period of time. This is an intensive course which is 100% focused on your English language needs and designed by your teachers to meet your requirements.

Intensive English (30 lessons per week) includes the above General English classes, and also allows you to personalise your course by taking an additional 10 lessons per week from a wide selection available. However kindly note that in order for a student to attend a course at EC New York they must be fully vaccinated, therefore a copy of the vaccine certificate must be presented at time of booking.

Semi-Intensive English (24 lessons per week) is only available to students studying in the USA or Canada. This course offers General English plus 4 lessons per week of Special Focus lessons.

The English Outdoors Morning class focuses on learning through real-life communication in authentic settings: public places (indoors and outdoors) all over NYC. The classes are taught in small classes of 4-8 students which allows our expert teachers to provide individual feedback and advice on how to improve and further develop language skills.

This program offers the interaction and liveliness of group classes as well as the personal attention of a private teacher. Students take the Morning Class and 3 extra individual lessons (of 45 minutes each) in the afternoon, during which they will be able to focus on areas of weakness or discuss a topic of special interest.
